Frostwind Platoon was founded during the Ryloth Campaign as a direct continuation of Shadow Legion. Built around activity, loyalty, friendship, and brotherhood, it became one of the most recognisable platoons within the 44th.

Frostwind was designed to be more than an operational unit. It was a continuation of an older community and a promise that respect would not be limited by rank.

Founding

Milandrs6, later known as Everbound, founded Frostwind during the Ryloth Campaign. He had planned to retire, but reconsidered and created the platoon with support from his Captain, Hon’ds.

Shadow Legion legacy

Frostwind directly continued the community Everbound had built through Shadow Legion. That earlier group began around 2019 or somewhat later; its precise founding date is not confirmed.

The Frostwind name

A weather-related name was required. Everbound chose “Frostwind” because he liked snow, while “wind” was simply the idea that followed. He did not like it at first, but attachment grew with the platoon.

Brotherhood

The platoon was meant to feel like a brotherhood: members standing beside one another, helping newer personnel, and valuing friendships and atmosphere above titles.

The “bound” tradition

Early members traditionally adopted nicknames ending in “bound,” turning a simple naming habit into a recognisable part of Frostwind identity. The tradition was abolished after Striker became Lieutenant, though many older members retained their names.
